Planning Applications

The parish council is asked to comment on planning applications by the District and County Councils. Residents are very welcome to attend our discussions, and we consider any views received in person or by other means when we make our recommendations. Immediate neighbours will normally receive notice of an impending planning application from the District Council.

Because of the short time allowed to respond and in order to avoid meetings that last longer than the time allowed, a working party of two or more parish councillors often assesses planning applications prior to the monthly meeting, in order to present their recommendations to the council. A record of our decisions can be found on the archive of council minutes on this site.
